Kentucky Snapshot

Currently, 38% of adults in Kentucky have a record. That's 1.3 million Kentuckians who face the enduring repercussions of a record, which often impede individuals from obtaining employment, finding suitable housing, accessing educational opportunities, and rebuilding their lives. Through record clearance, people are offered a fresh start and face fewer barriers to opportunity due to their past.

Under Kentucky's record sealing statute, if legislation passes to automate the current eligibility process, an estimated 575,000 people would be on the path to full record relief.
